Certain life events may affect your Conga benefits. See what actions to take and what to keep in mind as you navigate your life’s changes. If you have a qualifying life event, benefit changes must be made in Workday within 30 days.

You will be required to provide documentation for your qualifying event. Examples of accepted documents include a marriage license, birth certificate, or divorce decree.

  • Change your benefits coverage within 30 days of the event. Your benefit elections or changes must be consistent with the event. For example, you must remove your former spouse as a dependent on your health care coverage.
  • Upload documentation in Workday by visiting Benefits Application on the homepage and then clicking Change Benefits. This can include divorce or annulment papers included the ending of healthcare responsibility. You will need to provide proof of prior health coverage if joining the Conga plan.

    Note: Your benefit event date is the date of the qualified life event. For example, if you are divorced/terminated your domestic partnership on May 25, your benefit event date related to removing your spouse/domestic partner from your coverage is also May 25.

  • If necessary, update your personal information in Workday.
  • If necessary, update your direct deposit information and tax withholdings in ADP.
  • Increase your life insurance and/ or update your life insurance beneficiary.
  • If you’re changing your name, get a new Social Security card.
  • Order new business cards if necessary. Visit the Facilities SharePoint page for more information.
  • If your former spouse/domestic partner and any former stepchildren were enrolled in health care coverage, they will receive a notice from PayFlex about COBRA coverage, as long as the qualifying event (divorce/term partnership) is sent to PayFlex on a COBRA file. For questions about COBRA coverage, contact PayFlex.

    You can provide information to your former dependents about other coverage options, including the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace.

  • Update your 401(k) beneficiary.
  • Call the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at 866-248-4096 for support resources to help you cope with a divorce or a change in relationships.

  • Review parental leave policies on SharePoint.
  • Notify Human Resources to get help with questions about your health benefits. Be sure to speak to your manager about the timing of your leave.
  • Call (888) 408-7300 to begin processing your leave.
  • Get a Social Security number for your new child, if an application has not yet been submitted.
  • You must change your benefits coverage within 30 days of the event. Your benefit elections or changes must be consistent with the event. For example, you can add your child as a dependent on your health care coverage.
  • Upload documentation in Workday by visiting Benefits Application on the homepage and then clicking Change Benefits. This can include a hospital birth certificate/medical record showing the child’s date of birth, an adoption letter, or record showing date of adoption and signed and dated by court official.

    Note: Your benefit event date is the date of the qualified life event. For example, if your baby is born on May 25, your benefit event date related to adding your child to your coverage is also May 25.

  • Consider contributing or increasing your contribution to a Health Savings Account, Health Care FSA, Limited Purpose FSA, or Dependent Care FSA to help cover eligible expenses (if applicable).
  • Review Conga’s benefits for programs you may want to take advantage of, such as back-up childcare or a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Consider updating your life insurance and/ or updating your life insurance beneficiary.
  • Consider updating your 401(k) beneficiary.
  • Update your tax withholdings in ADP.

Through the EAP, you have access to counseling or assistance as needed.

As a regular Conga employee, you may be eligible for certain family-friendly policies such as paid parental leave.

Having a baby, adopting a baby, or becoming a legal guardian is a qualified life event. When you experience a qualifying life event, you have 30 days to make benefits changes related to your event. Visit Workday to adjust your benefits coverage.

  • Understand the eligibility rules. Your dependent child’s medical, dental and/or vision coverage ends on the last day of the month in which he or she turns 26.

    If your dependent was enrolled in health care coverage, they will receive a notice from PayFlex about COBRA coverage, as long as the qualifying event (is sent to PayFlex on a COBRA file. For questions about COBRA coverage, contact PayFlex.

  • Provide information to your dependent about other coverage options, such as the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace.
  • Convert your supplemental child life insurance to individual policy.
  • Refer to “Life Events” section.

  • A change of work status involves any change of employment status that includes a change in benefits eligibility, such as moving from a full-time employee to a part-time employee or vice versa.

    You may also make an adjustment based on a work status if your spouse or your dependent loses or gains coverage under another employer plan, such as your spouse's employer had no insurance coverage before but now offers a plan.

  • Enroll for benefits coverage in Workday within 30 days of becoming eligible for benefits.
  • Designate your life insurance beneficiary.
  • If you haven’t already, participate in the 401(k) plan and review your beneficiary information.
